TYPOGRAPHY*

TYPOGRAPHY: is/are forms of writing which differ because of features such as typeface, point size, line length and line spacing. Typography is used to distinguish places , objects ,designs and projects it is  used for an array of different things and sometimes the style of typography can be associated with certain things and products such as the underground writing also known as helvetica.

Handmade Font

This is a handmade type which i found on the behance website (http://www.behance.net/handmade font) . I am not sure who made the font but it was created in Tallinn,Estonia on this website i couldn't find much about the artist themself. The typography looks like it is made out of glass and wire but it was actually created on a computer system. The artist in question i am guessing put his work on this website to get publicist on his work, I like this piece because i could imagine it on a CD.

This piece of typography looks like a sculpture, when you look at it closer it appears to look like stars in space, so the theme could be space although the typography does say "Out of space"This writing does explain the theme pretty well, there could be a deeper meaning to this but the website were i found it does not go into much depth about the meanings, all i know is the destination of this creation and also what other people think about the design, which is good.

The main skill used was computer animation and shape shifting , were it looks like they bent the letters look as if light was reflecting off the shape, dark and metallic colours are used to create this, it gives it a nice star effect which goes with the theme. The work appears to be big because somebody is holding it up and you can't see there face. The key elements used in the piece of typography is line tone, colour and shape.

I chose this piece of typography to look at because i thought the type was adaptable, the theme was out of space which goes with my song i have chosen which is , TLC scrubs this type goes really well. I have not seen any work yet which is similar to this, this is very unique to me.


Typography Poster

  This is a poster  a part of a poster campaign for the grammy's there were a lot of these around online and on the roads building up to the Grammies, I don't know who designed this but i think the design is really cool to make there face out of lyrics which they have sang, as an experiment i am going to attempt to create this on photoshop i am not sure how it will go but i will try to recreate this with my chosen singer to keep in with my theme.

This was my attempt of a typography poster i really like and am surprised i could do something like this, it took a lot of time and effort but i achieved this through Photoshop.
